Communications, Chris Andrews, Chair

Develops and maintains a coordinated communication strategy. Creates and manages content for our websites, Facebook, Instagram, and BlueSky, letters to the editor, emails, and more to enhance the visibility of ICDP's events and opportunities as well as the work of our partners and the outstanding efforts of our Democratic leaders.

Elections Committee, Jessica Dickenson, Chair

Recruits candidates for local offices, including school boards and other positions, while providing training on the endorsement process and database management. The committee also oversees the endorsement process. School boards and local races have become increasingly significant as the fight for human rights and dignity extends to schools and local government.

Fundraising and Special Events, Karl Sime, Chair

Plans fundraisers and other events throughout the year. Collaborates with other committees to assist with key objectives or support significant partner events.

Membership, Angie Belin, Chair

Maintains volunteer and fundraising lists, enabling us to engage more people in the activities they wish to participate in, all thanks to our volunteers.

Organization and Development, Mike Owsley and Karl Sime, Co-Chairs

Holds or assists with voter registration drives year-round. Serves as a liaison to MSU, LCC, youth organizations, and high schools to help organize young Democratic progressives.

Recruits precinct delegates and captains across the county and hosts training for these individuals to ensure they become informed community leaders who are encouraged to create opportunities for our elected leaders and candidates to connect with their neighborhoods and communities.

Resolutions and Bylaws, Sam Nelson, Chair

Responsible for considering any resolutions or amendments to the bylaws and reporting to the Expanded County Committee. Resolutions are an important means to share ICDP values by highlighting issues for our membership.

Welcome Committee, Lisa Larson, Chair

Every week,  committee members welcome new individuals who may want to get involved, either in person or by attending an event. It can feel overwhelming with the various rules, bylaws, and activities. We follow up with new members, either by phone or email, serving as a point of contact to help them become involved.
