What you can do

Connect with the Ingham Dems, anyone who wants to be informed about the Ingham Dems' activities, and receive mostly weekly emails, with occasional phone calls or texts to remind you of events you RSVP'd to attend or volunteer for. We promise not to send daily emails.

Volunteer. We need your help! You can volunteer for specific tasks. You can sign up for various activities throughout the year. Whether it's door-to-door canvassing, posting on social media, helping with events, or data entry, there's year-round volunteer work to prepare us to elect Democrats.

Join a Committee. Much of the work of the Ingham County Democratic Party occurs outside our monthly meetings within a committee structure. There is something for every skill level and interest in our committees.

Donate to the Ingham County Democratic Party. Your contribution is a great way to be involved with the party. Whether you opt for a recurring donation or a one-time contribution—which is especially helpful—the funds will be used for printing, mailing, and supplies that help us connect with our communities in Ingham County and support our candidates in gaining voter support in our area.

Join the Expanded Committee of the Ingham County Democratic Party. Our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm (with a 5:30 pm social time), except for August, at Fiesta Charra, 2706 Lake Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI 48912. You must live in Ingham County, be a member of the Michigan Democratic Party, and attend two out of three meetings in a 3-month period.

Become an Ingham County Precinct Delegate. The role of a precinct delegate is among the most important in any elected office. Precinct delegates serve as a bridge between the Democrats in your neighborhood and the Democratic Party. It is the active precinct delegate who wins elections for the Democratic Party. We provide information and training for anyone interested in serving as a precinct delegate for Ingham County.

Join our Rapid Response Team.  Candidates frequently ask us for help identifying regular folks affected by certain policies. For instance, health care providers or people with ACA insurance. Seniors. Students. Veterans. ParentsWe need grassroots members to be “on call” to help deliver our messages at media or campaign events on short notice (perhaps 3 days or less). You could be holding a sign at a press conference, or sharing your story, or something else.
