December Update

Friends,

As I wrap up Thanksgiving Weekend, I am so grateful to the many people who are making ICDP a stronger organization that is building coalitions and supporting our partners, as it is our patriotic duty to challenge authoritarianism and corporate greed. Thanks to so many of you for volunteering, for your generous donations, for your attendance at meetings and events, and for stepping up to be precinct delegates.  I am thankful for our sisters and brothers who lead our other County parties within the 7th Congressional District, as we are coordinating and supporting one another.

In that spirit, we are holding our annual Holiday Party at the Ingham County Human Services Building because we need a bigger space so that all Democratic Candidates for the 2026 election cycle, and those collecting petition signatures, to have a spot around the large room for easy circulation, and we still have space to eat and mingle.  We hope you can join us, even for a quick visit, as we give thanks for the work we have done this year and get inspired to double our efforts in 2026 to do our part in providing strong leaders in Washington, DC, Lansing, and on school boards across the County.

We can't do the work without your financial support, so please support our party building activities at:

https://inghamdems.nationbuilder.com/donate

Or mail a check made out to Ingham County Democratic Party to: PO Box 14333, Lansing, MI 48901

Please join us for our end-of-the-year celebration. It will be a casual dinner with a brief program to recognize our ICDP Ted Lawson Volunteers of the Year, as well as our elected officials and candidates in attendance.  Pictured are last year's winners, Susan Anderson and Karl Sime.

We are hosting the party at the County building, so there will be plenty of space to mingle and enjoy the food. We invite all Democratic Candidates for the 2026 election cycle, and those collecting signatures will have a spot around the large room for easy circulation. For candidates or petition drives to reserve a table, please email [email protected]

Per the vote at the last meeting, we will look to a caterer or restaurant to provide food.  Therefore, we will ask for a per-person donation for those who plan to eat dinner.  If you are interested in helping plan the Party, please reach out to [email protected]
